Our Mission

Why MissingMotorbikes.com exists and what we stand for.

Why We Built This

Motorcycle theft in the UK is a growing crisis. Thousands of bikes are stolen every year, and for many owners the process of reporting, searching, and recovering their vehicle is frustrating, fragmented, and lonely. Police resources are stretched thin, social media posts get buried, and there is no single place where the biking community can come together to fight back.

We built MissingMotorbikes.com to change that. This platform exists because we believe every stolen bike deserves visibility, every owner deserves support, and every community member can make a difference.

What We Do

  • Centralised reporting: One place to list your stolen motorbike with photos, location, and details so it reaches as many eyes as possible.
  • Real-time heat map: See where thefts are happening across the UK. Knowledge is power, and awareness helps prevent future theft.
  • Location alerts: Get notified when a bike is reported stolen near your area so you can keep an eye out.
  • Community recovery: The motorcycle community is strong. By connecting owners with thousands of fellow riders, we increase the chances of spotting and recovering stolen machines.

Our Goals

  • Make every stolen bike visible. No report should go unnoticed. We want every theft on record and searchable.
  • Reduce motorcycle theft. By mapping hotspots and raising awareness, we aim to deter thieves and help riders protect themselves.
  • Support recovery. We want to increase the recovery rate of stolen motorcycles by putting the community to work alongside law enforcement.
  • Stay free and accessible. This service is free for all UK riders. No paywalls, no premium tiers. If your bike is stolen, you should not have to pay to get help finding it.
  • Build the UK's largest stolen bike database. The more comprehensive the data, the more useful it becomes for riders, police, and insurers alike.

Who We Are

We are riders, just like you. MissingMotorbikes.com was built by motorcyclists who have seen the devastation theft causes firsthand. We are not a corporation or an insurance company. We are a community tool, built for the community, by the community.

How You Can Help

  • Report stolen bikes. If your bike is taken, list it here immediately.
  • Share listings. Spread the word. The more people who see a stolen bike listing, the better the chances of recovery.
  • Stay alert. Enable location notifications and keep your eyes open. You might be the one who spots a stolen bike.
  • Spread the word. Tell fellow riders about MissingMotorbikes.com. The bigger the network, the safer we all are.
